The AY-x5B series is a 13.56 MHz reader capable of reading ID cards, tags, and credentials based on the MIFARE Classic EV1 contactless card technology. It reads the unique ID (UID) of the credential and transfers it via Wiegand 26-40 Bit data to the access control panel. The AY-x5B series comes with a wall mounting screw kit and top cover, and the board is coated with conformal coating to protect it from the elements and provide a long service life. It is a very simple, reliable, and cost-effective way to upgrade your system to the smart card standard.

This AY-x5B series is a high quality MIFARE Classic® EV1 credential reader for indoor applications. An affordably priced indoor reader for business and commercial applications, this reader delivers UID to Wiegand 26-40 Bit operation.

The reader reads MIFARE Classic EV1 ID format protocol via the 13.56 MHz cards and tags, with a variety of form factors.

The reader is ideal for organizations with many readers, where cost is an important factor of the project.

The reader features a 5-wire cable output, which can be wired (+) and (-) and D0, D1 interface, and green LED control to almost any access control panel.

Made of tough polycarbonate UV plastic the durable reader has conformal board coating to provide additional protection from humidity and moisture, for a long service lifetime.
